The main school runs on Saturday mornings throughout term time. We also run workshops during selective school holidays. For more information about our workshops, please follow this link to go to our workshops page.
The school offers the chance for children aged between 4 and 16 to learn the fundamental skills of performing across the genres of dance, singing and acting as well as encouraging them to develop their self confidence, communication skills and how to work together as a team. The school will encourage the children to have as much input into the productions as possible also learning back stage skills, prop work, learning about sound and lighting.
We aim to stimulate the children’s imaginations and creativity but most of all we want the children to have fun!
Our most recent production was 'Annie the Musical', just before Christmas (2008). Click on this link to view some of the photographs taken during the pre-production rehearsals.

DANCE
 |
|
We aim in the Saturday morning sessions to offer a style of dance that is a combination of street, jazz and modern skills put with a wide ranging selection of music. A physical warm up will always be included as well as a technical element teaching the children specific dance steps relevant to the work they are doing.
They will be dancing to songs from current West End hit musicals as well as current chart hits.
Other classes may be offered in the future including tap and ballet if there is a demand. |
ACTING
These classes aim to cover as many genres as possible including mime, comedy, farce, monologues and duologues as well as being able to take on a character within a bigger production. We hope to be able to teach the children the difference between acting for the theatrical stage and acting for TV and film.

SINGING
 |
|
A good selection of songs will be covered from the musical theatre through to current chart hits and everything in between! The children will be taught how to look after their voices and good practice technique as well as developing group and individual solo skills.
The lessons will always include vocal warm ups which they will be given copies of to use at home as well as any other music used during the term (only where copyright laws allow). |
EXAMS
In all three of our disciplines separate classes are offered to enable children to pass exams. Singing exams can be taken either through LAMDA in musical theatre or through the Trinity college of London in pop singing. Drama exams are through LAMDA and ISTD dance exams are offered.
GENERAL
The children will be given two biographies a term to collect which will increase their knowledge of well known names who have contributed to the genres of dance, acting and singing from the past and the present. This term they will be the biographies of Charlie Chaplin and Billie Piper. The idea is that if they want to collect them and make any further research at home it can only increase their general knowledge of the industry and possibly spark their interest!
